Guess who was the first to register for the Reunion?

The spirit that alumni found at Orrville High School returns June 25-27 at the Old OHS Forever Alumni Reunion Weekend. Registration began Jan 25 and will continue through June 20.

“I am excited to attend the reunion,” commented Chris Henricksen, OHS Class of 1990. “I have been “reuniting” with former Orrville classmates on Facebook.”

Henricksen was the very first person to register for the reunion. This summer will mark 20 years since his graduation from Orrville High School.

Henricksen currently teaches fourth and fifth grade science at Mark Twain Elementary in Westerville, OH and serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Education at Capital University.

An important change from previous reunion weekends is the elimination of the registration fee. “There is no charge to register for the reunion as there was in 2000 and 2005,” stated Lori Reinbolt, reunion coordinator.

“It is important for all alumni planning to attend to register so that plans can be made to accommodate everyone, “reminded Reinbolt.

An impressive schedule of events has been planned for Alumni Reunion Weekend including an alumni football game complete with cheerleaders, marching band and majorettes. A tennis mixer and sports memorabilia displays.

Downtown street party includes a variety of food vendors, and live music by Special Request, featuring OHS grad Chris Conway and Downforce, featuring OHS grad Will Armentrout. A fun new addition to the party will be a review of high school fads and fashions hosted by OHS grad, “Keith Kennedy” from WKDD radio and a Corn Hole Tournament.

“Hold Fast to Friendships Made Here” will be the theme to the Sat night show and pay tribute to cherished high school friends. The very popular downtown Block Party and Beer Garden will return to W Market on Sat evening.

A Sunday morning ecumenical worship service will once again conclude the weekend events.

Several new activities have been added to the schedule this year including an Alumni Luncheon where the Outstanding OHS Alumni Awards will be presented, Alumni Baseball game to be played at Fleet Brenneman Field, a Visual Art Exhibit featuring alumni artists, open houses at the old and new Orrville school buildings and the Orrville Rotary Club will offer a Pancake Breakfast at the high school on Sat morning.

The Old OHS Forever Alumni Reunion Weekend is being coordinated by the Orrville High School Alumni Association. Registration form and a complete schedule of events can be found at http://www.orrvillealumni.com/.
